“My art is a self-confession. Through it, I seek to clarify my relationship with the world. This could also be called egotism. However, I have always thought and felt that my art might be able to help others to clarify their own search for truth.”
Edvard Munch, Artist
The Truth Is In Your Brushstroke
Just get out of your own head and paint. Let it flow. No worries. No concerns. No expectations. No self-doubt.
Don’t try and paint like your favorite artists. Paint like you. Share your gifts and unique perspective. Show us watcha got. Open up. Be vulnerable. Expose your inner you.
Yes, this takes courage.
But… just being an artist takes courage. You have already exhibited and experienced courage. So, no big deal. right?
Paint honestly and authentically.
The truth is right there in your brush. Just waiting to come out on paper, canvas or wood. We will see and feel this truth in your brushstrokes.
Don’t worry about how good or mediocre an artist you are. And, it does not matter whether you are advanced or just a beginner. (Every artist was a beginner at some point).
Grab your favorite brush, mix your favorite color and paint your truth.
The truth is always going to be right there in your brush.
Best,
David
