"If you really want something in this life, you have to work for it. Now quiet! They’re about to announce the lottery numbers."
Homer Simpson, The Simpsons

There Are No Guarantees

Unfortunately, art making does not come with a guarantee. There are no promises of success. Whenever we start a new project, there is no guarantee that it will be successful.

This can either be exciting or anxiety producing.

It can be exciting if you love creating for the process, for the journey, for the thrill of the hunt, and for the activity itself.

It can be anxiety producing if you put too much emphasis on product or you have a fear of the unknown.

Since anxiety can be part of the process, you have to accept that it anxiety exists and get on with your creating, in spite of it. You aim yourself in the direction of where you think you want to go, focus on the process and create anyway.

Always head in the direction of your vision and let nothing stand in your way.

Best,

David
