DESCRIPTION
In my art practice, I use 10 essential concepts and techniques to create dynamic, emotional and expressive figure drawings and paintings. In this 3-day workshop, I will share, teach and demonstrate these concepts and techniques.
Working from a live model, students will put these into practice to create their own dynamic figure drawings. The workshop will be geared toward drawing, however, pastel, acrylic, watercolor, ink, and mixed media (including collage) will be welcomed. If you are a beginner, drawing only is encouraged. Open to all levels: beginner to advanced.

[PRAISE FOR DAVID LIMRITE]
Below are comments from participants of the July, 2019, Art Barn Workshop:
“[I enjoyed] the whole weekend! Each lesson was fantastic. This was the best of all past [workshops]. Wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you.”
Jane F.
“All of your demonstrations were helpful. Watching you draw and paint is always inspirational. Great weekend!”
Lois R.
“[The] demos were great. [I enjoyed the] invaluable tips [and] David’s kind, supportive, teaching style. I cannot think of one thing to [change about the workshop]. Pretty much perfection. You’ve got this down!”
Lori W.
“Delving into color from so many different angles helped me to finally grasp some of the principles of color theory and application. Great lessons and demos, too. [It was] a really nice group of artists, and, of course, I love the atmosphere of the Art Barn. Many, many thanks.”
Tamara G.
“[I] learned new things [and] became a little more confident. [I enjoyed the] camaraderie”
Gail R.
“[I enjoyed] making steady progress in solving my issues. Love the variety of challenging projects.”
Marie R.
“We covered a lot, but I felt the lectures/demos all held together as a ‘suite’ and built on each other in a really useful way. Thought it was the best [workshop] yet. Looking forward to the next one…””
